Reviews for Lido - Hua Hin District
Review highlights
Based on 598 reviewsLido, an Italian restaurant located by the seaside in Hua Hin, is praised for its stylish and inviting atmosphere, making it a popular choice for families and visitors seeking a relaxed dining experience near the beach. The food consistently receives positive remarks, with particular acclaim for their pasta dishes, including crab and gnocchi, as well as their pizzas and seafood options. The ambiance is described as chic and comfortable, enhancing the overall dining pleasure. However, service quality emerges as an area needing improvement; several reviews mention slow or inattentive service, with occasional order mix-ups and staff appearing undertrained or overwhelmed. Additionally, some diners note minor inconveniences like lighting adjustments and mosquito presence outdoors. Overall, Lido stands out for its flavorful Italian cuisine and pleasant setting, though refining service efficiency could significantly elevate the guest experience.
A stylish seaside spot with a breezy charm. For mains, we went with vegetarian pastas. Both good, but the gnocchi was the highlight, perfectly pillowy, rich but not over the top. The crowd leaned family-friendly when we visited, so if that’s not your scene, snagging an outdoor table might be the way to go.
We were not staying at The Standard. So booked via Hungry Hub and took the current deal for a choice of 4 items plus 2 cocktails for THB2350. We opted for the antipasto for 2, “lobster” pasta, crab and chili pasta and a tiramisu. Everything was delicious though we call the lobster a bug rather than a traditional one. I would recommend it totally. The only caveat is the mosquitoes. I was covered but my partner had hundreds of bites. The hostess was wonderful but I can tell she gets bites daily. So wear repellent and cover up because it’s a wonderful place.
Nice location near the beach at the Standard hotel. The food is good. The service could be better as the night we were there the servers were either over committed or missing in action.
The restaurant looks chic. Pizza are good. Pasta with crab meat was delicious. Pasta with lobster was a bit too rich. Tuna tartar was perfect. It was Friday night and not crowded at all. Service was slow and they forgot our order of pizza. Also I saw a lot of staff just standing around but I don't know why the service wasn't good. Seems like standard hotel needs to train their staff better.
I’ve been there twice, and the way they cook their spaghetti is truly amazing. Every dish was perfectly prepared. The ambiance and decor were also beautiful, I was genuinely happy that day. The only downside was the spot where I was seated; the staff kept adjusting the light above our heads several times, and the drink service (especially the wine) felt a little rushed. But that was just a minor inconvenience. Overall, the place left a great impression, and I’ll definitely be going back again.
Lamb Shoulder rigatoni very nice, generous portion of meat and aldente pasta. Lychee and rosell iced tea was one of the best I’ve had. Service and atmosphere was ideal, in The Standard hotel at the pool area; it felt very luxurious and comforting at the same time. Chocolate lava cake was overcooked so there was no “lava” it was more like a brownie, still okay but disappointing. Overall a great dining experience at good value.
Diavola pizza taste nice can smell pickle olive in every bite also cheese is so creamy Spaghetti alle vongole is a must!! best vongole in huahin i ever try nice vibe good place to chiilout at night
